Ferguson Brown were instructed by Energy Managers from University of Bristol’s Sustainability Department to carry out a mechanical and electrical survey of the Buildings in the Clifton Precinct to review the current condition of plant and equipment in order to provide recommendations and identify energy saving.
These reports defined areas for improvement in building performance to achieve the university’s stated targets of:

- Becoming carbon neutral on Scope 1 & 2 emissions from buildings by 2030.
- Capping water consumption at 2016/17 levels.
Bristol University began the work of looking at the Clifton precinct concentrating on the top 8 buildings using 80% of the gas and electricity
