EPC Energy Performance Certificate
An EPC will be accompanied by a recommendation report highlighting measures which, if adopted, have the potential to reduce CO2 emissions and energy costs associated with the building. The certificate will remain valid for ten years unless the building is modified by means of an extension or any major changes to the building services.
SAP – Standard Assessment Procedure
SAP is the Government’s Standard Assessment Procedure for Energy Rating of Dwellings. Part L1A for new domestic property requires that a Dwellings Emission Rate for carbon dioxide (DER) is better than the Target Emission Rate (TER) as calculated by the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP).
We have trained engineers experienced in SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model) analysis. As the actual services and internal layout are key elements in the calculations of an EPC older commercial property will require a site survey to ensure accurate up-to-date data is modelled correctly.
